Kaiser Wilhelm 11 was launched in 1897 and was the Flagship of the German fleet in her day. Our toy representation is made using formed tinplate with castings, all joints are hand soldered, just like the original German toys, no fibreglass or glue here.

Measuring 100cm (40 inches)in length x 20cm (8 inches approx.) width x 67cm (26.5 inches) high, this huge tinplate battleship is far too big to sail in a bathtub. Designed to steam on the seven ponds (seas) with a host of "most splendid features". Just like the originals.

To help give an idea of scale we have included a 55cm Britains naval figure in this photo. Counting the crows nest there are over eight different deck levels. Each different level has its own railing system or enclosed sides, creating plenty of visual interest. There is ample room for radio control if you wish.

Another important factor in re-creating a toy of yesteryear is paint finish. Our ship is painted in enamel, then portholes are transferred & stamped and finally a finishing coat of real varnish is applied, just like the originals. Options are offered, see order page for more details.
